Description The Silentone Alarm fire system is specifically designed for use in animal housing areas like laboratories, animal rescues, and veterinary hospitals. This unique alarm system emits a frequency between 430 and 470Hz. This is in the human hearing range but outside that of many animals. This means small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs show only a mild disturbance when the alarm sounds. Mice and rats are not awakened or, if already awake, show no startled response, ear twitching or other indication of auditory disturbance. The animals exhibit no observable response if the alarm is activated in a corridor of the animal house. This makes it easy to test the alarm system without disturbing the animals. For humans, however, the noise created by a Silentone alarm is intensely irritating and disturbing. Silentone alarms use quality electronics and operate on low-voltage. Remove the backplate 3. Pull out the connector 4. Using the backplate as a template, mark and drill the fixing holes in the wall ensuring the circuit board is at the top (the alarm is 219 mm wide by 100 mm high) 5. Fix the backplate to the wall 3 or 4 mm diameter self-tapping screws (panhead type), into suitable wall plugs 6. Plug in the connector 7. Close the cover: Reassemble the alarm box to the backplate 8. Fixed the 4 screws on the side(Each side have 2 screws) 9. POWER ON TEST — Connect the unit to the 24v supply via the terminal block using twin core 0.5², 3 amp cable
